Cutest Washi!

Look at this fabulous new washi from Doodlebug! These spiders are so adorable and the candy corn looks good enough to eat! These tapes are so vibrant I would argue they are the cutest on the market!!!

I created this simple design to show off just a few of Doodlebugs latest washi styles that coordinate with the Halloween Parade collection. I must admit, I've been addicted to the latest Doodlebug lines and plan to play some more this weekend!

Have a super Labor Day weekend! :)

Round Feathers?

T.G.I.F! I've been gravitating towards circles lately and had an idea to take Bella Blvd's feathers and run them though my die cutter to make them round. It worked!

You can get several size circles from each feather. Please note: keep a trash can at the ready and and turn off the overhead ceiling fan when cutting your feathers...you could have tiny bits of feathers wafting about the room and find them in your hair hours later! ;)

I also used the new Snapshots collection along with two different size High-Five alphas to create my card. I adore all the little house icons in this line...making it perfect for welcome home cards.

I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Thanks so much for your visit!

Gobble Gobble

I can't imagine Thanksgiving without a delicious roasted turkey! Or fresh baked pumpkin pie! And Doodlebug's new Happy Harvest collection includes these favorite Thanksgiving images in warm fall hues!

After posting yesterday's Happy Harvest project on my blog, I couldn't resist playing with the line some more! I was also in the mood to use dies and layer lots of accents. This is the first project I used the feather die from My Favorite and how perfect it is for a turkey card, don't you think?

I'm quickly becoming a big fan of Doodlebug's new Pixies! The little coffee straw accents that I used to make the 'gobble gobble' flag with. I've been brain storming ways that these can be used in unique ways and I will be coming up with some projects for you soon.

Hope you have a lovely day. Friday and Labor Day weekend are just around the corner. Do you have any special plans? We're going to take a ride on an old Steam train. We go about every year...Christopher always looks forward to it and seeing the model trains on display.

Happy Harvest & Giveaway

I have another new Doodlebug collection to tell you about today! For all of you who adore autumn, I'm sure you will fall in love with the warm colors and adorable icons of the Happy Harvest collection!

One of the things I look forward to this time of year is the falling leaves and Happy Harvest is packed with colorful leaf accents and washi! Swoon!

I've also made a mini card that I think would make great place cards at your Thanksgiving table, don't you? Instead of the 'give thanks' pennant print guest names.

What do you think of Happy Harvest? Would you like to win some of this autumn goodness? Click here to find out how and enjoy more inspirational Happy Harvest projects.

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Halloween Parade

Eek! Have you seen the parade of cute owls, witches, ghosts and goblins from Doodlebug Design's new Halloween Parade collection? This line is not only adorable, but it's super colorful and fun to play with! There's so many great new accents to create with like Pixies, Sprinkles and Doodads.

Pixies are similar to coffee stir straws...I used one here with a Doodles Seals sticker on top and Doodle Twine. What do you think? Cool, huh? Do you see the Sprinkles? They are like colorful candy dots that add texture to projects.

It's going to be a great fall season creating projects with Halloween Parade! I can't wait to show you more! To see what my teammates cooked up with this new collection click here. Be sure and scroll through the entire week so you don't miss a thing!

Typography

It's Monday and on the Bella Blvd. blog we're focusing on lettering. The design team has created projects for you using the many Bella Blvd. alphabet options.

I made two cards...for the first I combined Punch colored Sienna Chip and Black-White High Five alphas with the fun new Snapshots collection.

The size of Sienna Chip is perfect for cards and scrapbook pages alike.

For my second card I used Bella Blvd's signature Alpha+Bits font and the brand new spook-tacular Trick or Treat line.

Both these collections are so eye catching and colorful, don't you think? And with the assortment of lettering products that Bella Blvd. offers, there are unlimited ways to add sentiments to cards and titles to scrapbook pages and decor projects.

What do you think of Snapshots and Trick or Treat? I look forward to seeing all your projects popping up on blogs, galleries and Facebook!

Hope you week gets off to a great start! Thanks for stopping by! :)

T.G.I.F!

I have two cards to share with you all this fine Friday. Both from Bella Blvd. collections, one for birthday and the other for love.

When I create a card design that I particularly like, I sometimes re-create it at a later date using a different theme. Last year I made the Thanksgiving card below and thought it would also make a festive birthday greeting using Birthday Girl. What do you think?

My next card was created with Bella Blvd's Love and Marriage line. I think any day is the perfect time to express your love for someone special. :)

One of my favorite Bella Blvd. accents are the Crochet Hearts as I've used here. They come in ten gorgeous colors and add fabulous texture to projects!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm off to the grocery store this morning, but I have a play date scheduled in my craft room this afternoon. I'm looking forward to an iced latte and playing with paper and glue!
